Material Selector
Enter your part's requirements. Results update as you go — every one of our molded foam materials is screened against typical property data, and you can see exactly why each one fits or does not.
1 What does the part have to take? choose any
kPa stress to compress by 10% — this is about holding load, not absorbing impact
Asker-C lower is softer
% falling-ball method; higher bounces back more
W/(m·K) lower insulates better
2 Working temperature
This is the temperature the part works at continuously. If the hot end is only reached briefly (sterilising, drying, sun in a parked car), tick the box below and give that figure separately.
3 Hard requirements choose any
If the part is going to be film-laminated or cloth-wrapped anyway, this requirement can be relaxed — just say so in your enquiry.
This tier is judged on the base material itself. Carmakers sign off on part-level reports — colour masterbatch, release agent and any surface treatment all move the readings, which is why the VDA 270 odour grade and the VDA 278 VOC/FOG figures are submitted together with the first-article samples.
Anything else we should know
Pick whatever applies and a box opens for it. Everything in this block is passed on verbatim with your enquiry.
