E-PET — structural stiffness from recycled bottles.

E-PET foam molding

// Foamed polyester beads give you the shear and compression strength a structural core needs, a shape that survives 168 hours at 180°C, and a V-0 flame grade — from resin that can be up to 100% recycled PET. If your program carries both a stiffness target and a recycled-content target, this is the one material here that answers both at once.

Reference values

The figures on this page are published industry and supplier values for this material family, not measured DBM product data — we do not have our own grade-level test results for E-PET yet. They are accurate enough to size a part and to rule options in or out. Final numbers are confirmed by us in writing against your part before you commit to anything.

02Where it fits

Bring us the part,
not the material name.

A.01Application

Rail vehicle sandwich cores

Stiffness per unit weight, with a fire grade to match.

A.02Application

Wind-blade and building sandwich cores

Low resin uptake keeps the lay-up weight down.

A.03Application

Recycled-content lightweighting programs

A stiffness target and a recycled target in one material.

Why we can run it

// A note on published data: most public E-PET figures describe board-form core, not bead-molded parts. The values above are the bead-foam supplier figures, and anything sourced from board data is flagged as reference only.

Tell us the part and the target,
we will confirm the grade.
